Pyxima and Pratsam announce partnership in Finland.

August 19, 2014 – Pyxima® and Pratsam® start a partnership enabling Finnish reading impaired persons to read DAISY books on their handhelds. As official reseller of the Online Daisy™ audio book reading app in Finland, Pratsam will release a dedicated app allowing readers to gain barrier-free access to talking newspapers and audiobooks. The Pratsam app will be available for smart phones and tablets, both for Apple and Android devices, and connect to online services of the major Finnish content suppliers.

“With this partnership we are writing a new chapter in the international development of the Online Daisy apps” says Stephan Engelen, CEO of Pyxima. “Today, with more than 35.000 active users, we are already reaching an important part of Scandinavian visually impaired persons. This partnership will allow us to extend this user group to the Finnish market as well”.

"Pratsam is pleased to partner with technology leader Pyxima, whose visionary commitment to the user experience has inspired new ways of consuming audio books and newspapers." says Jonas Storholm, CEO of Pratsam. "This partnership is an important step in our strategy to diversify and broaden the methods of delivering audio content to the reading impaired in Finland."

The Online Daisy app was developed by Pyxima in partnership with Sensotec.
